Ahmed is an Executive Director at TALO Center. He has twelve (12) years of experience in the public sector and teaching experience. Ahmed holds a dual Master’s degree; Master of Public Management in Global Governance and Political Economy from the Korean Development Institute of Public Policy and Management School; Master of International Relations and Diplomacy at Kampala University; and a postgraduate diploma in law at Mogadishu University. Ahmed’s research interests include public administration, e-government, public finance management, good governance, democracy, public institutional reform, post-conflict state-building, international relations, foreign policy, and political economy

 

Ayan is the deputy executive director at TALO Center for GP Studies and has more than 10 years of experience in the public sector and humanitarian NGOs. Ayan has a Master of Business Administration from Lincoln University College Malaysia, and she has also a Master of Public Policy specializing in Regional Development and Environmental Policy at the Korean Development Institute (KDI), Republic of Korea. Ayan’s research interests include Youth Empowerment, Environmental Policies, Climate Change, Civil Society, Rural Development, Local Government, and Gender Development.

Mustaf is the Policy and Planning Director at the TALO Center. He is a policy economist with extensive experience in fiscal policy, public budget and fiscal Federalism, macroeconomic policy, PFM issues, and public policy analysis. Mustaf holds a double Master’s degree in Public Policy, majoring in Macroeconomic Policy and Public Finance, and a Master’s in Public Administration. His interests focus broadly on public finance, budgeting, macroeconomics, and public policies. Before joining TALO Center, he worked as head of the budget analyst at the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.

Mr. Hussein is the Research Director at TALO Center. He has extensive experience in the academia as well as conducting economic analysis and designing development policies for both government and non-government organizations. Mr. Hussein has a master’s degree in Economics from Anadolu University, Turkey. He has also another master’s degree in Public Policy specializing in Public Finance and Social Policy from KDI School of Public Policy and Management, Republic of Korea. Mr. Hussein has various published and working empirical papers in economics and public policy. His interested research areas are social and environmental policy, labor markets and post-conflict  development.

 

Mr. Isse Amalow is Public Relations Director at TALO Center. He has more than 8 years of experience in the public sector, specifically macroeconomics and finance at Ministry of Finance. Mr. Amalow also has experience in teaching at universities.Mr. Amalow has a Master’s degree in Public Policy in PFM and Macroeconomic policy at the Korean Development Institute (KDI), Republic of Korea. He also gained a Master of Business Administration from Lincoln University College, Malaysia. Finally, he has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science from Hadramout University of Science and Technology, Yemen.
